Analyzing a Crime Scene with DNA Reagent Pack (M3053TAE)
1.206,00 kr. Ex. moms
Using this supplemental reagent pack, students in a biomedical science program can pour, load, and run a gel on the MiniOne Electrophoresis System, watch DNA separate in real time, and then analyze the results to determine who the blood at the crime scene came from.
**Please note, supplemental reagent packs are ideal for programs with existing biomed curricula, or teachers looking to create their own storylines for hands-on labs.
Description
Blood analysis is just a piece of the puzzle. Anna is dead and her death is suspicious. Use DNA electrophoresis to develop DNA profiles of the blood found at the scene, Anna and 2 suspects, both who have a motive, and see how DNA evidence can be used to rule suspects in or out.
The reagents in this supplemental reagent pack allow students in a biomedical science program to pour, load, and run a gel on the MiniOne Electrophoresis System, watch DNA separate in real time, and then analyze the results to determine who the blood at the crime scene came from.
The entire lab can be completed in the span of a single classroom period, and helps teach concepts for using DNA in a forensic application.
Ideal for secondary school students, especially those in a biomedical science program, and can be used in the PLTW biomedical pathway.
